Back home in Motown, the place to party, other than in the many great clubs, was to get together in someone's basement to listen to and dance the night away with great sounds. We'd string the blue lights ... fill the tubs with ice ... stock lots of food 'n libation ... invite all our musician pals, friends, neighbors 'n like minded strangers ... gather all those tapes 'n albums ... put on our funky dancing clothes and party 'til we dropped. Didn't matter what day of the week or what time of the year...on any given night you could find a blue light shining somewhere to guide you to a place with great music to soothe you ... no matter what your mood.

So here, in Momma's Basement, we'll get together in cyberspace to enjoy some tunes. I have put together a collection of some of my favorite sounds. I will be adding many many more as time permits. I will also be adding some great music links, so do come back to the basement often! If you would like to add some of your favorite sounds, just send them to me and I'll give you credit. The basement utilizes Crescendo's java script "follow-around-sound". Note to IE users even tho you will see a caution error on page load, ignore it as this script will work for you too, although two control boxes will appear. Do make sure your java is enabled on your browser 'n I recommend you keep your browser on a smaller screen to visualize the lil jukebox 'n place it where you want it, as you play the music and surf! Remember midis take a short time to load, so once you see the Crescendo player in the lil box, you see the message "receiving midi file", 'n it will play automatically upon loading. Click again on the file if you don't see the "receiving midi file" message in the Crescendo Player. To change your tune, just click on another midi file listed below. Don't close the lil box,as your new selection will automatically start after loading. To ensure you're hearing the very best musical quality, install a top of the line wav sound card and add that much needed sub woofer to your speaker system! Your ears will thank you. Enjoy!
