If MicroSoft Built RVs

... contributed by Da Hunk

At the COMDEX computer expo, Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated "If the RV Manufacturers had kept up with technology like the computer has, we would all be driving twenty five dollar RV Chassis' that got 100 miles per gallon."

Recently General Motors addressed this comment by releasing the following statement: "Yes, but would you want your RV to crash twice a day?" And...

1. Every time they repainted the lines on the road you would have to buy a new RV.

2. Occasionally your RV would die on the freeway for no reason and you would just accept this, restart and drive on.

3. Occasionally, executing a maneuver would cause your RV to stop and fail and you would have to re-install the engine. For some strange reason you would accept this too.

4. You could only have one person in the car at a time, unless you bought "RV95" or "RVNT". But, then you would have to buy more seats.

5. The oil, gas and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single "general car default" warning light.

6. New seats would force everyone to have the same size butt.

7. The airbag system would say "are you sure?" before going off.

8. If you were involved in a crash, you would have no idea what happened.

9. Macintosh would make a RV that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast, twice as easy to drive, but would run only on five percent of the roads.

10. The Macintosh RV owners could get expensive Microsoft upgrades to their RV, which would make their RV's run much slower.

11. The Microsoft RV would have a highspeed, digital, "High Star", position locator system for vacation and trip planning that only used input data from Texac Travel Club (owned by Bill Gates) and would not accept data from AAA or Rand/McNally unless you purchase a Gates 98.01 Travel Conversion module.
